110 campers heard the gospel this month!

News Stories (2).pngTuesday 23 July 2024 12:01

It was Friday afternoon, and M. was sitting in his teepee with his monitor and kept asking him questions about Jesus. That week he had experienced unconditional love for the first time, and he was ready to receive it.

His monitor encouraged him to pray, and right there and then M. surrendered his life to Jesus and decided to follow Him. Instantly, he turned around, looking for something over his shoulders! His monitor, puzzled, asked him, “What's wrong with you?” to which M. replied, “I don't know, I feel like I just had a weight lifted off my shoulders that I didn't know I had! Is this the love of God you've been talking about all week?”

Within a few hours, M. was already explaining his decision to the rest of the teepee, and encouraging them to follow Jesus as well. That same night, many more young people agreed to follow Jesus and many, many lives were transformed!

Again, these boys and girls are now returning to their homes where no one else follows Jesus, and where they have no community to support them. Our biggest challenge now is to keep in touch and connect them to a healthy church.

Join us now in prayer for all the boys and girls who have gone through our camps this past month. May the seeds that have been planted and the decisions made continue to grow, and may we maintain contact with them throughout the coming year.
