Sitting in the south western corner of Europe, Portugal has been blessed with mild climate, natural resources and a prime position for their sea faring exploration. Portugal, traditionally Roman Catholic, continues to be spiritually needy with less than 1% of the population attending an evangelical church.  Evangelical churches only started emerging in the last 50 years or so as the country modernised into a Western style democracy. There are still a very low number of believers, churches and trained workers to reach the country with the gospel.  Having served in Portugal in 2004-2016, Matt and Louise are being convicted to return to the unfinished task of Christ's mission there. They have been invited back to focus on leadership development and church planting.
