Benjamin & Dorothea Troester

"Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." 1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)

Like many other Austrians Dorothea and Benjamin have grown up in Catholic families. Dorothea came to know Christ through a Christian kids’ camp in her teenage years. Benjamin has had his ups and downs but recommitted his life to Jesus in his twenties. They got married in 2019 after attending Bible school (in two different places): Dorothea went to Sydney Missionary and Bible College for two years and Benjamin did a year at Capernwray Hall in England.

Dorothea and Benjamin live in the very west of Austria and would love to see other Austrians in the region come to know Jesus as their living hope. In his profession as a technical engineer and as a volunteer at the fire department Benjamin is involved in the local community. Dorothea used to work as a primary school teacher but is now a full time mum to their children (a boy born March 2021 and a girl born May 2023). They are both active in their local church (FEG Dornbirn) and are excited to be part of what God is doing in Austria.
