Mission
ECM is currently working primarily in Sofia with ministries in the International Church, Discipleship and Leadership.

ECM requires ...
Bulgaria needs whole-life discipleship…. Faithful mature believers who can walk along-side national workers, discipling them and teaching them to disciple others.  Whether you feel called to do this full time or as a bi-vocational missionary, if you feel compassion for this country and you are interested to spread God's good news in this specific place, we invite you to contact ECM International. ECM’s mission is to equip, connect and multiply followers of Jesus through discipleship and church planting across Europe, including Bulgaria.

Economy
Rapid industrialization under Communist rule; minerals and manufacturing are important. Essential economic reforms begun in 1997 stabilized the economy. Mass privatization and foreign investment in real estate, tourism, IT and communication changed the Bulgarian economy and labour market. High unemployment in rural areas led to over 200,000 emigrating to seek jobs. Reforms in education, healthcare and regional development are the greatest challenges. Poor public administration, corruption and strong organized crime networks obstruct progress.
