Mission work
ECM has workers in Lushnje, Pinet and Erseka.

The ECM vision for Albania is... to make disciples who will make more disciples, and to give people living in Albania the opportunity to understand the Kingdom of God in their own communities.

Through listening to programs transmitted by Trans World Radio in the 1960s, several Christian groups emerged in the atheistic country of Albania. After 1991 these groups founded churches, called Rruga e Pages (Way of Peace), in the capital Tirana, and in Lushnje, Fier and Patos. The churches in Tirana and Lushnje now have national leaders and the churches in Fier and Patos have are overseen by other missionaries.

ECM missionaries are involved in a variety of initiatives in central and southern Albania. Other groups and individuals travel regularly to Albania to take part in projects: evangelism, children's camps, building projects, language courses, aid to the poor and many other activities.

The fruit of the church in Albania is really encouraging and despite the poverty, local churches are actively involved in evangelism and church planting. ECM longs for the churches in Albania to keep on growing, and that through their words and actions they will introduce the Gospel to more people - so that Albania will be filled with hope.

Economy
Emerged from a Communist (but effectively medieval) economy in the 1990s, but remains one of Europe’s two poorest nations. While there is marked improvement, poor infrastructure, corruption and high emigration rates hamper further growth.
