Novi Marof is a town of 13,000 people in northern Croatia. The Emanuel Baptist Church of Varaždin (16 km away) is planting a church there. Before the pandemic, there were church services there, with conversions. Now that the pandemic restrictions have passed, the church at Varaždin wants to start regular services and evangelistic programmes there, so as to plant an autonomous church at Novi Marof.
The ECMI Croatia team will be assisting this church, with a missionary family involved in the church. The ECMI field has a lot of experience in church planting in Croatia, especially with an established church starting a new church in a neighbouring area. Through the Lausanne Ministry of ECMI Croatia, there is a strong possibility of collaboration with others in the area.
The Varaždin church will be renting a hall at Novi Marof (€500 per month) for services and evangelistic activities, and are looking for others who will want to contribute to this new church plant and be a part of the growth of God’s Kingdom in Croatia.
